Superstition Mountains!

Last weekend Natalie and I took a trip to the Superstition Mountains which is about 20 minutes from where we live. The mountain range was first discovered by the European explores (Spaniards) even though Indians lived in the area first. We spent about 2 hours exploring and hiking, and then it got to hot. In this region your outings seem to be much shorter due to heat and dehydration. It was very fascinating to discover the rich landscaping the desert has to offer.

Coronado Vacation!!!

Natalie and I recently vacationed in San Diego where we spent the week with a few of our friends. Our daily routine involved sleeping in a little bit (8:00am at the latest), walking the beach in the morning, swimming in the ocean and pool, and doing a little sun bathing (in the shade of course, with plenty of sun block). We stayed on Coronado island in a comfortable condo on the beach. We went to La Jolla Cove where we witnessed an amazing sunset. One of the days we went on a long bike ride from the island to San Diego. It was quite the adventure...... we both never biked the path before. As we neared the city some of the bike paths were not as friendly as we would of liked, but we survived. We also enjoyed the famous San Diego zoo where we spent the day being enriched of the animals of the world. As the week drew to an end it was hard to say goodbye to the wonderful weather of the 70 degrees and head back the the hot temps that Arizona brings.
